What are the differences between the AquaChek Test Strips?
When it comes to the cleanliness of your spa, you want to make sure you’re accurately testing for impurities. That’s where the AquaChek chemical tests come into play. Spa Headquarters offers 3 different types of AquaCheck test strips, including the trutest test strips, used specifically with a digital test strip meter.
AquaChek Trutest test strips check for Chlorine/Bromine, pH, and Alkalinity. Just dip a test strip into your spa, put it into the digital meter and get fast, accurate results in seconds. Trutest test strips allow you to spend more time relaxing and not guessing, as the strips and meter do the work for you- no need for manual color matching!
As for the AquaChek Bromine and AquaChek Chlorine; test strips, you do not need to buy nor use the digital test strip reader. They are able to be used manually, and are specific to the type of spa you have. Red test strips are used for testing in bromine based spa water, while Yellow test strips are for testing chlorine based spa water.
How Often Should I Use Aquachek Test Strips In My Spa?
The minimum amount you should use Aquachek trutest strips or red/yellow test strips is 2-3 times a week. Due to the extremely high water temperature, testing more frequently is recommended. Additionally, test your spa at least 24-48 hours after chemicals are added to make sure the levels are rebalancing accurately.
