Step 1: Protect spa’s finish with Spa Fast Gloss. If you have an acrylic/fiberglass spa, protect the finish with a polish like Spa Fast Gloss before you add any water. This polish will reduce a chemical attack or fading. Apply a coat when you refill the hot tub for continual protection.

Step 2: Fill your spa with water. Add water in your spa until the water level reaches the center of the skimmer. If using a garden hose, allow water to run for several minutes before adding water to spa in order to flush bacteria.

Step 3: Add Spa Metal Gon to Prevent Staining. Add 1 bottle for up to 500 gallons of water.

Step 1: Test pH and Alkalinity using Chlorine or Bromine Test Strips. Rinse the filter well, run water through each jet. Clean and thoroughly rinse the tub. Repeat before every drain.

Step 2: Adjust pH & Total Alkalinity. Use Leisure Time Spa Up and Spa Down to adjust pH and total alkalinity levels to balance within normal ranges. Circulate spa water for at least 15 minutes before adding another product.

Step 3: Determine & Adjust Calcium Hardness. Once setup is complete, use Spa Defender weekly to prevent calcium scaling. To raise levels, add Leisure Time’s Calcium Booster. Circulate water for 15 minutes.

Bromine or Chlorine Sanitizing: Bromine- Add 1/2 oz. Sodium Bromide per 100 gallons. Then ad Brominating Tablets in the floater/feeder to obtain sanitizing levels. Chlorine- Add 1/2 oz. of Spa 56 Chlorinating Granules per 500 levels.

Ozone Sanitizing: If you are sanitizing with ozone, use the Sodium Bromide and Brominating Tablets included in Leisure Time’s Ozone Spa Care System.

Reserve & Renew Sanitizing System: This chlorine-free sanitizing system keeps water clean and healthy. Add Renew after daily use to maintain crystal clear water. If using Reserve and Renew system, fill spa and add reserve. Wait 15 minutes and add Renew.

Mineral Purification: Mineral purifiers are placed inside the filter cartridge and slowly release unique metallic ions into the water that help control contamination. Leisure Time’s Mineral Purification System, enhances the effectiveness of sanitizing.

Shocking: No matter what sanitizer used, it’s necessary to “shock” your spa on a routine basis. Shocking with Renew or Renew Tabs will oxidize the materials that may be causing bad build up and contaminants. Shocking routinely also increases the effectiveness of your sanitizer.

Step 1: Add Leisure Time Control. Control prevents the waterline residue around spa surface caused by oils, organics, minerals and scale. This product is essential and should be used at start up and weekly thereafter. Please Note: Add this product before adding Boost or Free.

Step 2: Add Leisure Time Boost. This non-chlorine liquid shock oxidizer formulated to break down oils, lotions and other organic materials. It improves filtration while keeping water clean and clear. Please Note: Boost is compatible with all Leisure Time sanitizing systems including the Leisure Time Free biguanide system.

Step 3: Add Leisure Time Free Biguanide Sanitizer. This chlorine-free, bromine-free, odor-free sanitizer is long- lasting and effective. Please Note: Test your spa water with Leisure Time Free Test Strips regularly and keep Leisure Time Free sanitizer levels between 3.0 - 5.0 ppm at all times.

Step 4: Use Leisure Time Free System Test Strips. Check biguanide sanitizer, calcium hardness, alkalinity & pH with one easy-to-read test strip. Please Note: Keep sanitizer level between 3.0-5.0 ppm at all times. 50 count per bottle.
