FILLING YOUR SPA
Step 1: Protect spa’s finish with Spa Fast Gloss. If you have an acrylic/fiberglass spa, protect the finish with a polish like Spa Fast Gloss before you add any water. This polish will reduce a chemical attack or fading. Apply a coat when you refill the hot tub for continual protection.
Step 2: Fill your spa with water. Add water in your spa until the water level reaches the center of the skimmer. If using a garden hose, allow water to run for several minutes before adding water to spa in order to flush bacteria.
Step 3: Add Spa Metal Gon to Prevent Staining. Add 1 bottle for up to 500 gallons of water.
BALANCING THE WATER
Step 2: Adjust pH & Total Alkalinity. Use Leisure Time Spa Up and Spa Down to adjust pH and total alkalinity levels to balance within normal ranges. Circulate spa water for at least 15 minutes before adding another product.
Step 3: Determine & Adjust Calcium Hardness. Once setup is complete, use Spa Defender weekly to prevent calcium scaling. To raise levels, add Leisure Time’s Calcium Booster. Circulate water for 15 minutes.
